Chapter Information: Atlantic Audubon Society is an official local New Jersey chapter of the National Audubon Society, dedicated to educating its members and the public about the natural world. We accomplish our mission with 10 programs per year that cover a variety of topics, including wildlife, conservation, birding travel, current environmental issues and more. We offer bird walks at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge on Saturdays in April, May, September and October, and we have field trips throughout the year.

Atlantic Audubon Society meets January through October, on the fourth Wednesday. Additional meetings, field trips, etc.. will be announced. During fair weather, we have outdoor meetings. We look forward to meeting indoors again one day.

2/27/22 Drosea Avenue Clean-up, Hamilton Township
1st of 4 road clean-ups that we do yearly at Drosera Avenue.
Meet at the corner of Drosera Avenue and Leipzig in (technically) Mays Landing at 11am.
We have vests, gloves and pickers but feel free to bring you own if you like. RSVP to Road Clean-up chair, Marian Jordan, at jorpmcv@aol.com or (609)338-9305
Tuesday, March 29, 2022, mid to late morning, Ocean City area
and Thursday, March 31, early to mid afternoon, Corson's Inlet area
Help the critically endanger Piping Plovers and other Beach-nesting shorebirds
by erecting 'symbolic' fencing,
to make beach-goers aware of protected beach-nesting bird habitat
*Potential volunteers must be able to walk good distance on sandy beach
and do heavy physical work for up to 2 and a half hours*

On February 23, 2022, Jesse Amesbury shared the local news from the Summer 2021 Beach-nesting shorebird season and his
Fall 2021 Season as the Official Hawk Counter at the Cape May Hawkwatch. Thanks to returning presenter, Jesse, for a fantastic program, as always! The presentation was accompanied by Jesse's own stunning photographs.
BIRD WALKS....every Saturday at Forsythe during the Spring (April and May) and Fall (September and October), weather permitting...bird walks are offered. All you have to do is to 'show up'. Walks are led by our local expert volunteers. See information under "Bird Walk Results"

In 2022, after eight years of free Atlantic Audubon Society chapter membership, we are offering our members an
opportunity to support Atlantic Audubon once again. The 2022 Chapter Membership fee is
$20 per year for January through December. Chapter Membership entitles you to
participate in our meetings and field trips and to receive newsletters and advance
notice of all Atlantic Audubon Society events via email. Your chapter membership helps make possible our ten yearly
programs, educational outreach, scholarships, and more.
Current Atlantic Audubon Society Volunteers qualify for FREE CHAPTER
MEMBERSHIP. If you help with one of the following: bird walks, road clean-ups,
Christmas Bird Counts (Oceanville or Marmora), or are on the board or a
committee, you will be given a one year chapter membership free of charge!
ACTION ALERT!
The deadline for your 2022 chapter membership payment or declaration of volunteer status on membership form, is February 28, 2022.
After that time, only currently paid chapter members or currently active chapter volunteers, who have filled out 2022 membership forms, will receive advance email notification of
Atlantic Audubon Society activities.
Both Free, Volunteer Members, and Paying Members, please go to the drop-down tab in the
upper right corner of the page, choose the membership tab, and fill out our easy online chapter membership form,
and see information about how to easily pay your yearly chapter dues.
Paying Members, there are two ways to pay for your chapter membership: After
